Sevens Crest was born from a simple belief — that everyday food should be both delicious and honest.

But before it became a brand, it was a journey of curiosity, self-learning, and purpose.

For Chef Shikha, food has always been deeply connected to home, tradition, and everyday Indian cooking. Driven by a genuine passion for understanding ingredients and flavours, she began her journey by conducting cooking classes — a space where she didn’t just teach, but continuously learned.

Through years of studying cookbooks, exploring trusted websites, testing recipes, and deep self-research, Shikha mastered a wide range of recipes and techniques. This hands-on process sharpened her understanding of food at a fundamental level — how ingredients behave, how flavours develop, and how nutrition can be preserved without compromising taste.

During this phase, one gap became increasingly clear. While people wanted convenience, most packaged foods relied on shortcuts — refined flours, artificial additives, and overly processed ingredients.

One question stayed with her:

Why should good food be complicated or compromised?

Motivated by this thought, Shikha began experimenting beyond her classes — reworking familiar, everyday foods using ingredients Indian households have trusted for generations. Millets, chickpeas, corn, jaggery, butter — ingredients she believed in — became the foundation of these trials.

What started as small batches and careful experimentation soon evolved into a larger vision: to create packaged foods that respected traditional ingredients while fitting seamlessly into modern lifestyles.

That vision became Sevens Crest.
